A young man goes to the city looking for a job suitable for his education, but in due course of time he becomes a criminal as that fetches him more money than any other mode of employment.

Ranga (Rajinikanth) alias Ranganathan who lost his sister Laksmi (K. R.Vijaya) in childhood,comes to the city searching for work suitable for his graduation.He meet Raju (Karate Mani) who is a thief.
